A native of Nashville, Mr. Nolan attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, one of the finest institutions in the state, and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1965 and started his law practice in the state the very same year.
Mr. Nolan joined Batson Nolan PLC, then known as Daniel, Harvill & Batson, in the late 1960s, and since then has been an instrumental part of the firm. He has litigated and tried over several hundred cases in various courts in the state. His commitment to work has not only help shape his career and become a respected figure in the legal community, but also the firm’s legacy.
Apart from being a renowned litigator, Mr. Nolan is proficient in mediation and is an active member of the Tennessee Academy of Mediators & Arbitrators and the Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators.
Outside his work, Mr. Nolan is closely affiliated with several associations, including the Tennessee Bar Association, where he was a member of the association’s board of governors. He has also served as the president of the Montgomery County Bar Association.
