Matthew Spivey

Matthew A. Spivey is a partner at the Spivey, King & Spivey, LLP law firm in Kingsport, Tennessee. He represents clients in the surrounding areas (Kingsport, Bristol, Rogersville, Johnson City, Jonesborough, Erwin, Elizabethton, Greeneville, Mountain City, Sneedville, Morristown) helping them with various legal matters in State and Federal Court involving:

After practicing law as a commercial business litigation attorney for 6 years in Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Spivey returned to his hometown, the Tri-Cities, to partner with his current firm in 2012. He enjoys helping people through his law practice, representing them in their everyday problems ranging from common misdemeanors, domestic issues and personal injury to more serious crimes like homicide, sexual assault and narcotics distribution.

Studying law at Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Spivey graduated with honors in 2006, and was admitted to practice in Georgia the same year. He later gained his license to practice in Tennessee in 2012, when he joined the Spivey, King & Spivey, LLP law firm. He also holds a magna cum laude bachelor’s degree in political science (2003) from The University of the South, where he played college baseball.
