Jennifer McKinnish

Jennifer McKinnish is the owner of McKinnish Law Group, PLLC. Focusing her practice on Family Law (divorce, child custody, adoptions) and social security disability.  McKinnish Law Group, PLLC represents clients throughout the greater Knoxville area.  Ms. McKinnish graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 2002. She continued her education at the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, The University of Memphis, and in 2005, was awarded her Juris Doctorate.

Helping clients is the reason Ms. McKinnish became an attorney.  In addition to practicing Family Law, Ms. Burton also assists clients who have become unable to to work due to a physical or mental disability and who are seeking Social Security Disability Insurance benefits. This is a difficult area of law to navigate, and most claims are denied at the initial level for a myriad of reasons. Ms. McKinnish shepherds her clients through all phases and steps of the process, including appearing on their behalf at appeals hearings. A recipient of a “Superb” peer review rating through Avvo, Ms. McKinnish is admitted to practice in Tennessee as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit.
