Attorney Sidney W. Gilreath is the founder and owner of Gilreath & Associates, PLLC located in Knoxville, Tennessee. A leader in his field, he served as president of the Tennessee and American Bar Associations and other legal organizations, and he is a former member of the board of governors as well as vice president, treasurer, parliamentarian and state committeeman for the American Association for Justice.
Mr. Gilreath also served as president and vice president of the Tennessee Trial Lawyer's Association, and he is an active member of many local, state and national legal organizations. Recognized for his outstanding professionalism and service, he received consistent recognition from The Best Lawyers in America along with the organization's Lawyer of the Year award. He also received many designations as one of the top trial lawyers in Tennessee and the country.
A 1958 graduate of Maryville College, Mr. Gilreath obtained his Bachelor of Law from the University of Tennessee College of Law at Knoxville in 1962. He also served as instructor at the National College of Advocacy from 1979 to 1980. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th and 11th Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
