Aubrey L. Brown, Jr.

Aubrey L. Brown Jr. is a seasoned attorney working with Moskovitz McGhee Brown Cohen & Moore, based in Memphis, Tennessee, with a comprehensive background in family law and probate matters. Throughout his career, Mr. Brown has concentrated on family law, handling complex cases that include divorce, child custody and support, adoption, and post-divorce enforcement. His practice also covers probate and estate litigation, addressing issues such as will contests, estate administration and guardianship cases. Born and raised in Memphis, Mr. Brown graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Memphis in 1989. He continued his education at the same institution, earning a Juris Doctor from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 1993. Upon graduation, he honed his legal skills by clerking for the Honorable Joe B. Jones at the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals. He began his private practice in 1994 after being admitted to the Tennessee Bar Association and later to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee in 1997.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Brown has actively contributed to the legal field through his involvement with the Memphis Bar Association, where he served as the chair of the Family Law Section from 2007 to 2008. He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Family Law Section. In addition, he has also been peer-review rated Distinguished* through Martindale-Hubbell and rated “Excellent” on Avvo.
