Active in the legal field, Mr. Thompson is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Memphis Bar Association, the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association and the Mississippi Bar Association.
Mr. Thompson is admitted to practice throughout the states of Tennessee and Mississippi, the U.S.s District Court for the Western District of Tennessee, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.
Actively involved in helping his community, Mr. Thompson is an intake volunteer at Deferred Action Clinic, where he helps immigrants to procure a permit in the U.S. with certain rights for two years. He also works as a teacher at Street Law, Inc., a nonprofit organization that educates citizens about their rights, basic laws, democracy and leadership skills.
