Stephen R. Leffler

The president of the Law Offices of Stephen R. Leffler, P.C., attorney Stephen R. Leffler has been advocating for the rights of Western Tennessee residents who are accused of criminal charges or facing the aftermath of a catastrophic personal injury.

With a successful track record handling cases at both state and federal levels, Mr. Leffler has secured several dismissals and not guilty verdicts for clients facing charges of assault, battery, murder, domestic violence, white collar crimes, sex offenses, DUI, robbery, traffic offenses and more. 

Mr. Leffler has also represented clients in many facets of personal injury law, securing millions of dollars in compensation on behalf of families that sustained or lost a loved one in railroad accidents, truck wrecks, defective product accidents, car and motorcycle accidents, and premises accidents. 

A 1977 Bachelor of Arts graduate of the Centre College in Kentucky, Mr. Leffler received his Juris Doctor in 1984 from The University of Memphis, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and the vice magister of Phi Delta Phi honor society. He was authorized to practice law in Tennessee in 1984. 

A certified Rule 31 general civil mediator, Mr. Leffler is adept at determining what cases are fit for mediation. He tries to seek effective resolutions to conflicts before entering the courtroom but is always prepared to represent his clients’ interests in a court dissolution.

A long-serving member of the Memphis Bar Association, Mr. Leffler was offered the Sam Myer Award for his contributions to the organization. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an organization that recognizes the prominent group of trial lawyers in the United States. 

Additionally, Mr. Leffler holds memberships in the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association and the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is the former president of the Tennessee Bar Association – Young Lawyers Division.
