As an attorney, Michelle Poss represents clients in legal matters related to conservatorship, elder law, probate, Social Security Disability and estate planning/trusts. Her clients come from throughout the state of Tennessee, and she provides them with quality legal representation earned over nearly two decades of experience.
Admitted to practice in Tennessee in 1998, Ms. Poss is also admitted to practice in federal court. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Middle Tennessee State University before moving on to law school. At the Nashville School of Law, she earned her Juris Doctor, and has since completed an additional education program at the Lipscomb University Institute for Conflict Management, Rule 31 Civil Mediation Training.
Ms. Poss is a fellow of the Nashville Bar Association and a member of the Memorial Service Committee and Probate Committee. She is the former co-chair of the Probate Committee within the organization. She is a member of the Conservatorship Association of Tennessee and an ex-officio member of the board of directors. She previously served as President of the Conservatorship Association of Tennessee and the Tennessee State Affiliate to the National Guardianship Association. Ms. Poss is a current member of the board of directors of the National Guardianship Assocation. Ms. Poss is a Veterans Affairs-accredited attorney.
With an understanding that aging can be complex and overwhelming, Ms. Poss strives to give her clients the dignity and resources they deserve as they prepare for whatever may come. Her goal is to assist family members who need help with the legalities of caring for a person in need and making sure her clients are properly covered to deal with a disability or inability to work.
