Brad brings the perspective of both a transactional and litigation specialist to representing and counseling businesses and individuals involved in construction and real estate transactions, contract negotiations and disputes, and litigation matters. As the firm’s founding member with decades of experience, he works collaboratively with clients across the construction and real estate industries to find creative solutions to their business needs, to avoid and resolve costly disputes, and – when necessary – to mount an aggressive offense or defense.
Brad began his legal career with intensely practical experience in all aspects of litigation, including serving as a law clerk on the Tennessee Court of Appeals and as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Tennessee. As an Assistant AG, Brad first-chaired numerous jury trials and argued successfully before the Tennessee Courts of Appeals. He then worked as an associate under several of the most tenured and successful construction and real estate attorneys in Tennessee. Since founding the firm as a solo practice in 2008, Brad has grown the firm and his practice to one of the most respected and fastest-growing construction and real estate practices in the state.
Brad’s busy practice is populated almost entirely by clients referred to him from other clients and his fellow construction lawyers. Brad loves the law and is well-known for not backing down from a fight. His clients appreciate his real-world approach to legal issues, his down-to-earth advice, and his deep understanding of the business landscape and the realities faced by their businesses.
