Cody Allison

Serving as the managing attorney at Cody Allison & Associates, PLLC, in Nashville, Tennessee, Cody Allison has spent the last two decades helping individual claimants navigate Employee Retirement Income Security Act claims. With extensive experience fighting alongside people across the country, he handles cases involving long-term disability claims, life insurance claims, serious injuries and general litigation matters. Approaching each case with empathy and an open mind, he provides the reliable support his clients need to obtain the compensation they deserve.

Graduating from The University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree, Mr. Allison went on to pursue his legal education at Mississippi Christian University School of Law. He received his Juris Doctor in 1999 and, in the next year, was admitted to practice law in Tennessee. He is further admitted to state courts in Kentucky and multiple federal courts across the U.S.

Having counseled numerous individuals throughout his career, Mr. Allison notably represented a military reservist who was illegally fired from his job because of his service. Winning this landmark case protected military members' workplace rights nationwide under federal law (Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act), earning feature coverage in All Hands Magazine and setting a lasting legal precedent used in courtrooms across the country.

An active member of the legal fraternity, Mr. Allison serves as the chief proctor for the Tennessee Bar Association’s exam through the Tennessee Board of Law Examiners. Additionally certified by the Tennessee Supreme Court as an attorney mentor for the state, he mentors up-and-coming attorneys in all areas of their practice.
