He has argued numerous cases before trial courts, appellate courts and regulatory boards, gaining valuable experience in complex disputes.
Graduating magna cum laude, Mr. Whitaker received his Bachelor of Science in economics with a concentration in international business from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. While there, he was a member of the Global Leadership Scholars, UT’s premier honors program for business students. He also worked for a Department of Defense consulting firm and think tank, and completed an internship with a Member of Parliament in London.
Mr. Whitaker earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law, concentrating in Advocacy and Dispute Resolution. During law school, he was elected to the Order of Barristers, served as Editor of the Tennessee Journal of Law and Policy, participated on the Moot Court Board, and gained practical experience through the Advocacy Clinic.
Mr. Whitaker is admitted to practice in Tennessee and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. He is active in the Tennessee Bar Association, the Nashville Bar Association, the Belmont American Inns of Court, and serves on the Haslam College of Business Young Alumni Board.
