George D. Spanos is a partner at Rogers, Shea & Spanos, a Rule 31 mediator, and a Certified Family Trial Law Advocate through the National Board of Trial Advocacy.  He has focused his career on practicing all aspects of family law, including divorce and legal separation, martial contracts, allocation of parental responsibility (custody) actions, child support and spousal support modifications, post decree parenting time disputes, orders of protection, contempt actions, and appeals, as well as probate matters. With over ten years of experience in family and probate law, he has successfully handled complex and contested cases involving divorce, child custody, support, juvenile, and estate matters.

In 2023, Mr. Spanos was selected to become a Fellow of the Nashville Bar Foundation, which inducts approximately 2% of the members of the Nashville Bar Association.  Mr. Spanos is also a graduate of the Nashville Bar Foundation’s Leadership Forum. Mr. Spanos is the Chair of the Tennessee Barr Associations Family Law Executive Council. He is also a Vice-President of the Tennessee Trial Lawyer’s Association’s Executive Board, chairs TTLA’s Domestic Legislation Committee, and co-chairs TTLA’s annual Domestic Law Seminar.  He is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a member of the American Bar Association, and a member of the Williamson County Bar Association. From 2016-2022, Mr. Spanos chaired the Williamson County Mock Trial Competition.
