Kasi Wautlet

Kasi Wautlet is an adept attorney at Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, LLP, in Nashville, Tennessee, and serves her clients diligently in matters involving employment discrimination and civil rights, as well as public interest and complex civil litigation. She represents clients in Tennessee and nationwide. A former educator, she is patient and methodical in providing her clients with solutions to their legal problems and provides a human-centered approach to her advocacy for individuals whose rights have been violated.

After graduating summa cum laude from Arizona State University in 2012 with her Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education and teaching, Ms. Wautlet taught at public schools in Arizona, Virginia, and New York before finding her passion for law.

In 2020, she graduated cum laude from New York University School of Law, where she served as a managing editor for the Annual Survey of American Law and continued to advocate for the rights of youth through the Suspension Representation Project. She also completed internships with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York and Magistrate Judge Chip Frensley in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.

Ms. Wautlet is licensed to practice in Tennessee and is admitted to appear before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.  Before joining Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, LLP, she served as a judicial law clerk for Magistrate Judge Alistair E. Newbern in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.

Ms. Wautlet is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Marion Griffin Chapter of the Lawyers’ Association for Women.
