Kevin H. Sharp

Kevin H. Sharp is the Co-Vice Chairman of Sanford Heisler Sharp, LLP and works from the firm’s office in Nashville, Tennessee. He is also the Co-Chair of the firm’s Public Interest Litigation Group. His practice areas focus on civil litigation matters, including qui tam and whistleblower matters, products liability claims, malpractice cases, ERISA claims, civil rights, and criminal matters. He has also represented clients in many class action cases. 

Having handled many high-profile cases, Mr. Sharp has gained invaluable experience and is the go-to attorney for civil or criminal law cases, as well as handling petitions for Executive Clemency. He is a fierce and tireless advocate for the rights and liberties of his clients. He ensures his clients are well informed of their cases from beginning to end, and he upholds their interests and needs. He goes the extra mile for his clients and handles all cases efficiently and cost-effectively. 

Mr. Sharp served as a Chief Judge at the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee and as an attorney with the U.S. Congress Office of Compliance. Before pursuing law, he served in the U.S. Navy as a petty officer in Patrol Squadron 17 in Hawaii. 

Graduating summa cum laude, Mr. Sharp has a Bachelor of Science degree from the Christian Brothers College. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Vanderbilt University Law School. He is admitted to practice in the state of Tennessee and before the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Middle, Western and Eastern Districts of Tennessee, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. 

Actively affiliated with many prominent legal associations, Mr. Sharp has memberships in the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Nashville Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the National Employment Lawyers Association. He is a fellow of the Napier-Looby Bar Foundation, the Nashville Bar Foundation, and a sustaining life fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
