Mary Beth Ausbrooks is a Tennessee bankruptcy lawyer and a board-certified specialist in consumer bankruptcy law. After earning her BBA in accounting from Tennessee State University in 1993, she went on to graduate with her J.D. from the University of Memphis School of Law in 1996. She is licensed to practice in the State of Tennessee, the Middle District of Tennessee, the Sixth Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
Ms. Ausbrooks is a member of the Nashville Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association and the National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees. She also has served as president, vice president and secretary of the Middle Tennessee Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and as Tennessee State Chair for the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. She served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. Presently, she serves on the Board of Directors for the American Board of Certification and serves as Chair for the Standards Committee.
Ms. Ausbrooks is a frequent presenter at continuing legal education seminars. In the past few years, she has presented on the effect of bankruptcy on domestic relations law for the Rutherford/Cannon Bar and for the Nashville Bar Association. She has presented on Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 topics for the American Bankruptcy Institute, Law Review CLE, National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. Ms. Ausbrooks has lead numerous seminars for new and seasoned practitioners held locally and nationally.
