Kristin Postell

A member of the Law Offices of Randy Wilson and Kristin Postell, PLLC, Kristin Postell divides her practice between criminal defense and family law matters. Working out of the firm’s offices in Abilene, Texas, she furnishes advice and counsel to people throughout the state, and she has been admitted to practice in Texas since 2010.

In her criminal defense practice, Ms. Postell provides aggressive and effective representation to clients who have been accused by the state of having committed misdemeanor or felony offenses. The types of charges that she has defended against have included drug possession and trafficking, driving under the influence of alcohol, fraud and other types of white collar crimes, domestic violence, assault, robbery, stalking, and homicide. Ms. Postell’s clients have obtained favorable results through her work in getting acquittals and dismissals, and they have also benefited from her negotiation of plea agreements with the prosecution.

Many of Ms. Postell’s family law clients are people whose marriages are coming to an end and who are now having to face such divorce-related issues as child custody and visitation, the division of complex community assets and financial obligations, and child and spousal support. She is often able to help her clients come to an accord on these matters through her assistance with the negotiation of a comprehensive settlement agreement, but she is an aggressive courtroom advocate on their behalf when litigation proves to be necessary. 

Ms. Postell is held in high regard by her colleagues, as evidenced by her “Superb” peer review rating through Avvo. A graduate of The University of Texas at San Antonio, where she majored in economics and received a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude in 2007, she obtained her legal education at Baylor Law School and was awarded her Juris Doctor in 2010.
