Details
Jeff Gilbert is an AV Preeminent Attorney with 32+ years of experience who founded the Jeff Gilbert Law Office for the purpose of providing the high-quality legal representation in matters pertaining to family law and criminal defense. Assisting a diverse client base, Jeff has developed a positive reputation among clients and both the bench and bar for his continued record of success in matters in contested litigation and reaching settlement of complex matters.
Jeff serves the family courts of Brazoria County as both a court appointed Amicus Attorney in Divorce and Child Custody cases. Likewise, he is proud of the fact that his peers often seek him out and ask the court to appoint Jeff as "Agreed" Amicus Attorney in hotly contested and disputed child custody cases due to his ability to cut through the animosity of parties and seek resolutions in the best interest of the children. Jeff regularly serves as a mediator in Family Law matters and works tirelessly with the parties and their counsel to reach resolutions to allow them to move forward with dignity and certainty in the disputes.
Jeff Gilbert also serves the community as the Presiding Judge in the City of Angleton Municipal Court of Record where he is honored to also be an AV Rated Judge for his legal ethics and ability by Martindale Hubbell. He is a Fellow of both the Texas Bar Foundation and The Houston Bar Foundation. Director of both the Brazoria County Bail Bond Board (serving as vice chairman of the board for 2022). He has served on the Lake Jackson Planning Commission for all but one year since 2007. A small business owner, Jeff previously served on the advisory board of the City of Angleton "Livable Center Study" together with other business owners in the downtown Angleton area.
