As the founder and partner of Arlington, Texas-based Brandy Austin Law Firm, PLLC, Brandy Austin is committed to representing clients throughout Tarrant County. She focuses her varied practice on criminal defense, divorce and other family law matters, plaintiff's personal injury and wrongful death litigation, elder law including long-term care planning, and bankruptcy.
Ms. Austin graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English and political science from East Carolina University in 2005. She then went on to attend Baylor Law School and was awarded her Juris Doctor in 2008. While there, she participated in the Strasburger & Price Moot Court Competition and coached the school's entry in the American Bar Association's annual National Client Counseling Competition. After graduation, Ms. Austin was an attorney at several Texas firms before founding her current firm in 2013. Admitted to practice in Texas, she is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas. Ms. Austin is admitted to practice before the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the Northern, Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas as well.
Throughout her career, Ms. Austin has earned the respect of her colleagues for her excellent track record and high degree of ethics. This has been demonstrated by her receipt of a 10.0 "Superb" peer-review rating through Avvo. She is the 2019 President of the Tarrant County Trial Lawyers Association, an active participant in the Tarrant County and Arlington bar associations, Tarrant County Probate Bar Association, and Dallas Trial Lawyers Association. Community-minded as well, Ms. Austin is a former Cooper Street YMCA Family Center Advisory Board member and Burleson Texas Cemetary Board.Â
