    Amie Rodnick is the founder of the Law Office of Amie Rodnick in Austin, Texas, where she focuses her practice exclusively on family law and other related matters. A highly rated attorney with over 38 years of legal experience, Ms. Rodnick strives to help her clients resolve their disputes in the most amicable and cost-effective ways possible by using mediation, collaboration and cooperation instead of costly litigation.

    In 1990, Ms. Rodnick received her certification in family law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She is also a Cedentialed Distinguished Mediator through the TMCA, and she holds the distinction of being the only family law attorney in the Austin area to hold both these credentials. She is a charter member of Collaborative Divorce Texas.

    After graduating with honors from The University of Texas at Austin in 1975, Ms. Rodnick returned to her alma mater and obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law in 1978. The following year, the State Bar of Texas admitted her to practice, and she is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

    Fully committed to her practice, Ms. Rodnick has served on the boards and committees of several professional legal organizations devoted to family and collaborative law. She currently serves as president for Collaborative Divorce Austin (www.collaborativedivorceaustin.com) and is the former president for Central Texas Collaborative Family Lawyers (now merged into the former organization). She is active with the family law and women and the law sections of both the State Bar of Texas and the Austin Bar Association, and she is a member of several other professional associations as well, including Travis County Women Lawyers and the Travis County Women Lawyers Scholarship Fund.

    In addition to practicing law, Ms. Rodnick serves her community by volunteering with various local and regional charitable and nonprofit organizations. She has published articles and delivered numerous speeches on a variety of topics related to family law and alternative dispute resolution, and she holds an AV-Preeminent peer review rating* from Martindale-Hubbell.
