Amy L. Lambert is a committed family law attorney at Friday Milner Lambert Turner, PLLC, known for her compassionate, practical approach to resolving complex family matters. Her passion for helping families – especially children – stems from personal experience, having witnessed the challenges of her own parents’ difficult divorce. This background gives her a deeply empathetic, child-focused perspective that informs every aspect of her practice.
Recognized early in her career for her maturity, direct communication style and strong negotiation skills, Ms. Lambert quickly became one of the leading young family law attorneys in Austin. She is now widely respected as one of the most trusted mediators in the area, having successfully guided hundreds of couples through the process of divorce and family restructuring.
Ms. Lambert represents clients in both collaborative and litigated family law matters, always encouraging them to identify the most appropriate resolution for their needs – whether through settlement or in court. Her balanced and strategic approach makes her a valued ally during what is often the most difficult time in a client’s life. She deeply values referrals from fellow attorneys. She considers referrals a reflection of professional trust and is committed to providing referred clients with attentive, high-quality representation.
In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Lambert is committed to serving the broader legal and local community. She is the immediate past chair of the Austin Bar Association’s Family Law Section and has served as a panel chair for the State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee. She also contributed as editor of the Collaborative Roadmap and regularly donates her time as a mediator, attorney ad litem and pro bono attorney, most notably during the Bastrop wildfires, when she volunteered at the Free Legal Advice Clinic.
While earning her law degree from the Texas Tech University School of Law, Ms. Lambert was actively involved in advocacy and dispute resolution programs, including the Board of Barristers, the Civil Litigation Clinic and the Advanced Alternative Dispute Resolution Clinic. Today, she continues to share her insights by writing and speaking on family law issues for the State Bar of Texas, the Collaborative Law Institute of Texas and various local organizations.
