Bill Powers

As an attorney at Powers Kerr & Rashidi, PLLC, Bill Powers provides dedicated legal representation to people living in Austin, Texas. He focuses his practice on family law, generally handling cases that involve such issues as divorce and child custody.

In 1972, Mr. Powers graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts. He then went on to attend The University of Texas School of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctor in 1975.

With more than 30 years of experience, Mr. Powers understands the unique, and often difficult, dynamics that has litigated a number of high-stakes cases throughout Central Texas. He has an impressive track record of achieving positive outcomes for his clients and their families. While Mr. Powers generally seeks to reach amicable resolutions through negotiations, he aggressively fights for his clients and their rights in cases when the issue must go to trial. He also previously served for two terms as president of the board of directors for Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas.
