Blair Beck (B. B.) McCall is an Associate Attorney at Budnik & Reed PLLC in Austin, Texas. Blair maintains a statewide practice where he brings a well-rounded legal background and a strong business acumen to support a broad range of clients. His practice focuses on complex litigation, energy and public utility law, intellectual property law, information law, technology law, and civil appeals.
Blair’s path to the legal profession was shaped by early hands-on experience and training as a law clerk at a private Austin-based firm, where he built a strong foundation in legal analysis and client service. Before entering the legal field, he honorably served as a full-time law enforcement officer, as a soldier in the Texas State Guard, and spent years honing his title skills in the oil and gas industry as a landman. These roles instilled in him a deep sense of discipline, integrity, and public service.
Blair continues his public service today by serving as a Staff Judge Advocate in the Texas State Guard’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps, and as a Police Officer for the City of Lakeway, Texas.
Blair earned his Juris Doctor from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law, with a concentration in intellectual property, information, and technology law. He also holds a Juris Doctor Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law, an MBA from Texas Tech University, a Master of Science in Energy Engineering from Texas A&M University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Western Governors University.
Blair is licensed to practice law in all courts of the State of Texas, and he has been admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Southern, and Western Districts of Texas, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Eighth Circuits. He is also licensed as an Intermediate Peace Officer by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
Blair remains committed to professional growth and to delivering thoughtful, results-driven legal counsel to clients across various industries.
