A 1992 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Roark obtained his Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School in 1995. The State Bar of Texas admitted him to practice that same year, and he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.

Active in his legal community, he is a member of both the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and he served several years on the Texas Bar District 9 – 1 Grievance Committee, ultimately serving as chair for three of those years.
