Christopher J. Oddo

A prominent eminent domain attorney with over 25 years of experience, Christopher J. Oddo is a vociferous advocate for his clients, striving to help them overcome complex condemnation, land use and zoning matters. At the law office of Barron, Adler, Clough & Oddo, PLLC, in Austin, Texas, he primarily focuses on eminent domain and condemnation law, including eminent domain easements, inverse condemnation and regulatory takings, among many others.

Mr. Oddo completed his undergraduate studies in 1996, graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University. He went on to attend the University of Tulsa College of Law, where he honed his legal acumen and talents through his academic prowess and active involvement on campus. He received his Juris Doctor in 1999, and in the same year, he obtained his license to practice law in Texas. Later on, he gained admission to practice before the United States District Courts for the Western, Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit. Mr. Oddo also serves as an assistant Adjunct Professor for the University of Texas School of Law as an Advocacy Specialist. 

With calculated diligence and steadfast advocacy, Mr. Oddo pursues every available legal avenue in pursuit of his clients’ goals and in the name of property rights. In 2025, Mr. Oddo successfully brought two eminent domain cases to jury trial, securing a nearly $8 million verdict for the City of Lubbock and a combined $7.35 million final judgment for a private landowner in Williamson County.

Mr. Oddo maintains close affiliations with many prominent legal and community organizations. He is a member at the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas and the Austin Bar Association.
