Cristi Trusler

Cristi Trusler is the owner and managing partner of Trusler Legal, PLLC. Cristi  is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization- in Family Law and Child Welfare law.   She is also Masters Level Certified in Collaborative Law by Collaborative Divorce Texas and is a member of the organization's inaugural class. She has substantial experience handling divorce and intertwined family law issues, like intimate partner violence, high conflict family law, including but not limited to alienation/refuse resist dynamics and alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and collaboration. She provides high-quality representation for individuals with children, as well as individuals with businesses divorces and those whose estates contain complex assets. She practices primariloy in Williamson Hays and Travis County, Texas, as well as other parts of Texas, with a focus on Central Texas.  Ms. Trusler is recently licensed in Utah and intends to further her collaborative and family law practice there--with a focus on the Park City, Utah and Salt Lake City and Heber areas.  Ms. Trusler's license in Colorado is approved and pending finalization (swearing in). Much like in Utah, she hopes to expand her Colorado practice with a focus on collaboration and mediation. She is also licensed in Maryland and DC, but not actively practicing in these two jurisdictions.

Offering peaceful divorce experiences to her clients for the past 20-plus years, Ms. Trusler helps her clients deal with the fear and confusion through the difficult times in their lives and the lives of their children. Composed and considerate, she comprehends the nuances and concerns of divorce and makes certain to educate her clients about the consequences of their decisions.

Ms. Trusler completed her undergraduate studies at Texas Tech University, where she was a Kappa Kappa Gamma and served as scholarship chairman and pledge trainer.  She was the recipient of the Janet Burford Memorial Scholarship and was the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Society president, as well as  a Supreme Court member for Texas Tech University. She then went to Georgetown Law to earn her Juris Doctor. Apart from serving as an Administrative Editor for the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics. She volunteered for the Clean and Sober Streets Program and the National Center for Therapeutic Riding. She was likewise involved in the Texas State Society in DC and interned for Senator Kay Bailey Hutcheson during her special election. She also interned in the legislative section of Fulbright and Jaworski (DC), The American Stock Exchange-Legislative Section (DC) and with the General Counsel of Heidelberg Press in Heidelberg, Germany

To stay professionally up to date and connected with her fellow attorneys, Ms. Trusler holds memberships in the American Bar Association, the Texas Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and the Texas Bar College, the Utah Bar, the Park City Bar, the Williamson, Hays and Travis Counties Bar Associations in Texas, . Licensed to practice in the state of Texas, Maryland (inactive), DC (inactive), and Utah, she has written articles and spoken at conferences on divorce and other related topics.
