Attorney Daniel H. Wannamaker is the founder and owner of Wannamaker & Associates in Austin, Texas. Board certified as a criminal law specialist and a criminal appellate specialist by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and possessing more than 36 years of total legal experience, Mr. Wannamaker devotes his practice to criminal law, and he has become one of the nation's leading advocates for those accused of serious federal crimes as well as all other types of felonies and misdemeanors. He has successfully represented individuals from Los Angeles, California and Seattle, Washington to Washington D.C.
A former federal defender, Mr. Wannamaker has a unique and invaluable insight into the inner workings of the criminal justice system, which enables him to devise the most effective defense strategies possible for those he serves. A 1981 graduate of the University of Texas, Mr. Wannamaker attended South Texas College of Law Houston, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1984. The State Bar of Texas admitted him to practice that same year, and he is also admitted to practice before all U.S. District Courts in the state as well as before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th and 11th Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
While pursuing his legal degree, Mr. Wannamaker discovered his passion for criminal law during his time serving as legal clerk for a prominent criminal attorney in Houston. Remaining committed to his practice, he is an active member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, among his other professional affiliations, including the Texas Bar College.
