Gregory Donahue

Mr. Donahue is an intellectual property attorney who focuses his practice on complex intellectual property matters and patent litigation. His patent litigation experience is extensive, covering a broad spectrum of technical fields including computer networking, Bluetooth technology, medical devices, cellular phone technology and apparatuses utilized in the oil and gas industry.

In addition, Mr. Donahue oversees the firm’s inter partes review department and devises strategies to handle IPR’s related to concurrent patent litigation. Mr. Donahue was named 22nd best performing attorney overall by Patexia Inc.’s 2018 IPR Intelligence Report.

Serving as lead counsel, Mr. Donahue defended a multimillion-dollar medical device manufacturer in a patent infringement lawsuit while simultaneously aiding in a parallel reexamination proceeding at the United States Patent and Trademark Office related to the patent-in-suit.

Mr. Donahue has also prepared and prosecuted countless patent applications for a large telecommunications client as well as for individual inventors and small companies in a variety of technical disciplines. He has authored appeal briefs for the Federal Circuit and drafted licensing agreements related to a variety of patents.

Further, Mr. Donahue has successfully handled trademark matters, including playing a key role in the defense of an electrical contracting company accused of trademark infringement, as well as conducting trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
