Ilana R. Tanner

Ilana R. Tanner is the founder and managing partner of The Law Office of Ilana R. Tanner, PLLC, based in Austin, Texas, where she represents individuals and families in various family law matters, including domestic disputes and Child Protective Services (CPS). She primarily focuses her practice on family law, allowing her to provide focused, knowledgeable counsel to clients navigating some of life’s most challenging, sensitive moments of their lives.

Ms. Tanner handles cases involving divorce, child custody, child support, visitation enforcement, property division and modifications of existing court orders. Her experience also includes CPS investigations and litigation, grandparent rights, paternity actions, premarital agreements, adoptions, and matters involving child abuse, neglect and domestic abuse. She is known for combining strong advocacy with a practical, solution-oriented approach tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.

With over a decade of experience, Ms. Tanner is board certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. As a proud alumnus of the University of Texas School of Law, Ms. Tanner developed her legal skills and earned her Juris Doctor in 2012. Prior to attending law school, she received her bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 2009. The same year she graduated from law school, she became licensed to practice law in Texas.

Outside her legal practice, Ms. Tanner is actively involved in professional and community organizations. Her affiliations include the Pro Bono College of the State Bar of Texas, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the Texas Bar College, the Travis County Women Lawyers’ Association, the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section, the Collaborative Law Institute of Texas, the Junior League of Austin and the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists.
