He focuses his practice on divorce and family law, generally handling cases that involve child custody, visitation, marital agreements, and child and spousal support.
After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in liberal arts from The University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Vaught went on to attend the Baylor Law School. From there, he graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor.
With more than 40 years of experience, Mr. Vaught understands the unique, and often challenging, dynamics that can be involved in family law cases. He is a member of a number of organizations, including the Texas Family Law Foundation, the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists, the Family Law Section of the Austin Bar Association and the Texas Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Mr. Vaught also serves on the legislative committee of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, helping to review and to draft new laws for the citizens of his state.
