Jay Harvey

Attorney Jay Harvey is Managing Partner of Winckler, Harvey & McConnell, LLP, in Austin, Texas. A highly rated trial attorney with more than 40 years of legal experience, Mr. Harvey devotes his practice to helping those throughout Texas who suffered an injury or lost a loved one due to the negligent, careless or unlawful acts of others.

Certified as a trial specialist in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Mr. Harvey has achieved notable success advocating for those adversely affected by medical malpractice, nursing home abuse, dangerous and defective medical devices and medication, automobile accidents, defective products, federal tort claims, and other similar acts of negligence or wrongdoing.

He also represents clients with their claims of legal malpractice, and he holds a special consideration for veterans and military personnel seeking their rightful compensation in the face of a debilitating injury.

A 1979 cum laude graduate of West Texas State University (now known as West Texas A&M University), Mr. Harvey attended Texas Tech University School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1982. That same year, the State Bar of Texas admitted him to practice, and he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit; and the U.S. Supreme Court.
