An established and senior corporate lawyer at the law firm of Branscomb Law, with several offices in Texas, attorney Jeffrey S. Dickerson is the managing shareholder of their Austin office. Licensed in Texas since 1988, he has garnered 35-plus years of invaluable experience in the legal arena, concentrating on business and corporate law, mainly mergers and acquisitions, and securities across the sectors of the refinery, beverage distribution, oil field services and physician practice.
After graduating with honors with his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from The University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Dickerson completed his undergraduate studies in 1983. Following this, he secured his master’s degree in the same subject from The University of Virginia in 1984. Later, in 1988, he obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence. Owing to his legal acumen and remarkable client service, he has been listed among the Best Lawyers in America for corporate law and has also received a “Superb” rating on Avvo. In addition, he has been peer-review rated AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell.
Passionate about his career, Mr. Dickerson also found time to impart his knowledge to the next generation by working as a lecturer at The University of Texas at Austin–McCombs School of Business, where he taught various subjects related to business law. Representing several parties in deals and sales, he has also played instrumental roles in building lasting partnerships and the reorganization of companies throughout his career.
A respected member of the community, Mr. Dickerson also holds membership in the Business Law and Construction Law Sections of the State Bar of Texas. He was the former director of the South Texas Public Broadcasting System.
