Details

Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch helms the Lincoln-Goldfinch Law practice as its founder, and she is a bilingual immigration attorney in Austin. Mrs. Lincoln-Goldfinch handles many cases on behalf of permanent residents and U.S. citizens who need family-based immigration services. Her cases also involve citizenship and naturalization, refugees and asylum, green cards, temporary visas, deportation defenses and appeals.

When receiving her law degree from The University of Texas School of Law in 2008, Mrs. Lincoln-Goldfinch knew she wanted to pursue a career in social justice. She found a cause she cared about when working at an immigration clinic and meeting detained asylum seekers. This work led to an Equal Justice Works Fellowship, where she assisted families held in the T. Don Hutto Residential Center.

Mrs. Lincoln-Goldfinch’s work earned her the Contribution to Minority Community Award in 2010 from the Travis County Women Lawyers Association. She believes in helping low-income immigrants and protecting those on the fringes of society. Her goal is to provide immigrants and their families the security and stability of working and living in the U.S. without fearing deportation, which in turn helps the Austin community and the country.

Everyone at the Lincoln-Goldfinch Law advocates for immigrants in their professional and personal lives. This attorney's volunteer contributions involve being part of the National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild, serving on the board of Casa Marianella and acting as the Pro Bono Liaison for the Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico chapters of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. When not working on immigration matters, she serves on the board of the Austin Bar Association’s Solo & Small Firm Section, belongs to the Austin Young Lawyers Association and sings in a women’s group called Hilde Girls that provides benefit concerts.
