Attorney Lonnie Roach is a co-founder of the Austin disability law firm Bemis, Roach & Reed. Since the founding of his firm, he has focused his practice on representing disabled clients in cases relating to the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, particularly matters concerning long-term disability. Thanks to his focus, he has earned a place among the top lawyers in his practice area in the state of Texas, which leads countless clients to seek his assistance when facing legal challenges related to the following:

• Disability denials and appeals
• State-governed insurance claims
Mr. Roach began his legal career in 1991 after earning his law degree from The University of Texas at Austin School of Law and his admission to the State Bar of Texas. In addition to his approval to practice in all Texas courts, all the U.S. District Courts in Texas and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit have approved him to practice in their courtrooms.
After law school, attorney Roach initially focused on personal injury law, and the Texas Board of Legal Specialization recognized him as a board-certified personal injury attorney, which is a distinction he still holds. As a personal injury and as an ERISA law attorney, Mr. Roach earned the respect of both his clients and his peers, as evidenced by his AV Preeminent peer review rating* from Martindale-Hubbell and his "Superb" rating from Avvo.
Mr. Roach is an active member of the legal community and one of its leaders. He is a member of a number of organizations, including the Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association, where he has served as a director.
