He holds his license to practice in Illinois, Florida and Texas, and he is admitted to practice before all U.S. District Courts in Texas, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the Eastern District of Wisconsin and the Middle District of Florida, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th and Federal circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Grotefeld has achieved notable success handling a variety of highly complex civil cases in state and federal courts across the country. Widely regarded as a leader in his field, he has also conducted numerous lectures and seminars at the National Association of Subrogation Professional’s conferences, the Wildland Fire Litigation Conferences and other professional conferences involving insurance subrogation, product liability, civil litigation best practices, wildfire litigation, inverse condemnation and more.

Mr. Grotefeld is an active member of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals, the American Bar Association and the American Association for Justice as well as the Illinois State Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas and The Florida Bar. He also supports his local community through his involvement and volunteer work with the Chicago Boys and Girls Club, the Chicago Urban League, the JMLS Veterans Clinic and The Nobelity Project.
