- Mueller says that in any case, the firm tries to help clients heal their guilt and pain while providing them with realistic, yet hopeful, advice. Mueller’s dynamic legal work has been, in many cases groundbreaking, such as a case where he helped to reform the grand jury system. For that case- known as the “Condom Rape Case” – his client, a woman who was raped at knifepoint, was finding it difficult to have her case heard because she had asked her rapist to use a condom, which a Travis County Grand Jury perceived as conveying consent. Mueller’s efforts in that case led to changes in the grand jury system, permitting the use of professional rape counselors to educate grand jurors.
