A true Texan at heart, Ms. Roper's roots trace back to San Antonio. She achieved her undergraduate degree from Texas State University in San Marcos in 2008 and went on to earn her J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2011. During her time as a law student, she interned at the Bexar County Criminal District Attorney’s Office – a transformative experience that ignited her commitment to justice.
This experience unveiled the often-hidden injustices faced by individuals within the criminal justice system, fueling Ms. Roper's dedication to defending the rights of her fellow citizens. She earned her Texas law license in 2011. Respected in the legal community, she played a pivotal role in establishing the Texas Association for Cannabis Lawyers and has served on the boards of both the San Antonio and Dallas Criminal Defense Lawyers Associations. She is also a lifelong member of the Legal Committee of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws.

- Not guilty of sexual assault! Our client was acquitted after his ex high school sweetheart accused him of sexual assault years after their break up. , 2024
- Jury said not guilty on murder based on self-defense. Our client shot and killed his sister's abusive boyfriend who was high on meth. , 2024
- Aggravated Assault dismissed. Our client was actually the victim of a brutal stabbing, but because she was homeless no one believed her side of the story. Finally, on the morning of jury selection, the State came to their senses and dismissed., 2023
- Murder dismissed after we were able to prove that our client was not the killer, but actually a witness., 2023

- Two aggravated assaults dismissed. Our client had been the victim on an on going abusive relationship. Like many abusers, her ex used the legal system as one of the many tools to torture her, including lying so she would get arrested not once, but twice. Eventually the prosecutors realized the truth and dismissed her charges., 2023
- Not Guilty in a high profile sexual assault trial., 2022
- Client was found guilty of aggravated kidnapping by a jury. At punishment the State asked for a life sentence, but we were able to get the jury to give our client probation., 2022
- DWI by drugs with an accident dismissed mid trial after a successful hearing limiting the State's expert's testimony., 2021
- Received an acquittal in a DWI by marijuana charge, largely but using the State's own expert in our favor., 2019
- My client was charged with possession of marijuana and unlawful carry of a weapon. The state elected to try the possession of marijuana case first, and despite bringing an odorous ounce of "marijuana" into the court room, the jury acquitted my client. Subsequently, the state tried to move forward on the unlawful carry case, but do to the acquittal, they were unable to proceed and all the cases were dismissed., 2019

- Represented a sex trafficking survivor pro bono for a felony charges she faced because of one of her abusers. Was able to get her charges dismissed, and saw that she was connected with supportive organizations so she could heal from her years of horrible trauma., 2023
