Michele L. Locke

As an attorney with the Coldwell | Bowes, L.L.P., law firm in Austin, Texas, Michele Locke focuses her practice exclusively on family law. Throughout her 15-year legal career, Ms. Locke has served a number of roles. In addition to managing a successful private practice and being a shareholder in another area law firm, she also served as associate court judge for a domestic violence court in El Paso County as well as for the county's child protective services court.

Having returned to private practice, Ms. Locke continues to represent individuals and families facing tough and emotional family law matters. A tireless advocate, Ms. Locke devotes her time and resources to provide the compassionate, dependable assistance and support her clients need when dealing with legal challenges involving any of the following:

A 1999 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, Ms. Locke obtained her Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2002. That same year, the State Bar of Texas admitted her to practice, and she is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

Fully committed to her practice, she is involved with several professional legal organizations. Along with being a member of the family law section of the Austin Bar Association, she is also a member of the Williamson County Bar Association and the Travis County Bar Association, among several others.

An accomplished author and speaker, Ms. Locke has conducted numerous lectures on a variety of legal topics related to family law.
