She pursued her law degree at the Baylor University Law School, where she played an active role in the Student Bar Association. During her time there, she also functioned as a LexisNexis Student Representative. She received the Baylor Law’s Family Law Advocacy Award, the Baylor Law Student Bar Association Leadership Award, the Baylor Law Service Award and the Joe Cannon Professionalism Award. She earned her Juris Doctor in 2010 and was licensed in Texas the same year.

Outside of her law practice, Ms. Dixon spends her time at the Legal Advice Clinics, which are a part of the Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas. She also volunteers at the Court Appointed Special Advocates of Travis County.
