Details
Rekha Roarty is a managing attorney at her eponymous law firm in Austin, Texas. She focuses her practice on construction and real estate issues in Central Texas.
After completing her Bachelor of Arts in psychology at Baylor University in 2010, Ms. Roarty attended Baylor University School of Law and obtained a doctorate in jurisprudence in 2014. She is licensed to practice in Texas, and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Western Districts of Texas.
Equally confident in the courtroom and at the negotiation table, Ms. Roarty finds ways to dodge disputes or litigation by representing her clients in arbitrations, mediations and settlement negotiations. However, she understands that not all disputes are best resolved out of court and remains prepared to stand by her clients’ side through every step of litigation.
Practicing law for over eight years, Ms. Roarty opened The Roarty Law Firm, PLLC, in 2022. Before that, she served as an associate in law firms across Texas. She was awarded the Pedro “Pete” Serrano Leadership Award by the State Bar of Texas, and the title of Family Law Rising Star by the American Institute of Legal Advocates. She is rated 10/10 on Avvo and has received positive client reviews through Martindale-Hubbell.
A former secretary and founding member of the Bell County Women’s Bar Association, Ms. Roarty has affiliations with several prestigious associations. She is an active member of The Junior League of Austin, the Williamson County Bar Association and the Austin Young Lawyers Association. She was an associate at the Williamson County American Inn of Court.
Ms. Roarty gives back to her community through her volunteer work and devotes her time to organizations such as The Junior League of Austin. She also supports the initiatives of her alma mater’s alumni association – the Austin Baylor Lawyer Network and the Baylor University Women's Council of Austin.
