Rick’s practice is primarily focused on defending clients against criminal charges at all levels. Prior to joining the firm, Rick worked as a prosecutor for 4 years with the Travis County Attorney’s Office where he negotiated thousands of criminal cases and was the lead attorney in over 60 trials. His experience as a prosecutor helps him zealously represent and defend clients in Austin and throughout Central Texas.
When he’s not in the office or in the courtroom, Rick enjoys watching all Texas sports and playing tennis.

- NOT GUILTY VERDICT on Terroristic Threat charge. Client charged with Terroristic Threat. Pretrial offer by the prosecution was 120 days in jail. Client rejected the offer and we went forward with a jury trial. The jury deliberated for 35 minutes and returned with the right verdict-- NOT GUILTY., 2017
- Client was wrongfully accused of assaulting his girlfriend. The State prosecutors offered 2 years probation. We rejected the offer and proceeded to trial. The jury deliberated for two hours and returned with a NG verdict. Client was acquitted and his record was expunged., 2016

- Client was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Blood test results showed that Client's BAC was greater than 0.08. Case dismissed., 2017
