Riley Alcozer

Riley Alcozer is a Founder and Partner of Hardie Alcozer. She works directly with high-net-worth clients on estate planning, oversees the firm’s fiduciary litigation docket, and partners with the firm’s attorneys on strategy across estate planning, probate,  guardianship, and fiduciary litigation matters. She also sets the firm’s overall direction, marketing, and intake goals, and stays hands-on with the systems and client experience behind the scenes. Estate planning clients find her warm and thorough; fiduciary  litigation clients find that same warmth backed by real fire when a fight calls for it.

Ask Riley what she’s most proud of and she’ll point past any case straight to the team. She and her partners built Hardie Alcozer by ignoring most law firm norms — bringing in people without traditional law firm backgrounds on purpose, for the range of perspective it creates — and by insisting the office stay a place people genuinely want to be. It shows: the team shows up for each other through the hard stuff, laughs constantly, and has never once been accused of taking itself too seriously.

Riley is Chair-Elect of the Austin Bar’s Estate Planning and Probate Board, Super Lawyers-rated in Texas Estate & Trust Litigation, and holds her J.D. and B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin. She and her husband, Seth, are also foster parents, and foster care is a cause especially close to her heart. Outside the office, she’s usually with Seth, their five-year-old, Buck, and her dog Ellie (who has been to twelve more countries than most people she knows) — plus, somewhere nearby, a phone she can never actually find.
