Travis L. Turner brings more than two decades of legal experience to the courtroom as he represents clients in Austin and throughout Texas in all aspects of family law. Mr. Turner holds certification as a specialist in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Mr. Turner received a bachelor's degree from San Antonio's University of the Incarnate Word in 1999 and subsequently enrolled in law school at Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska where he graduated in 2003. He became licensed to practice law in his home state of Texas in 2003.
Demonstrating a well-rounded knowledge of general law matters, Mr. Turner speaks at legal seminars on a diverse array of topics, such as alcohol and drug testing and the use of guardian ad litems. In 2012, he served as course director at the Austin Bar Association's family law section summer seminar. A talented writer, Mr. Turner is the co-author of legal articles on subjects that include board certification exam preparation and cyber evidence.
An active member of his community, Mr. Turner is a member of the Austin Bar Association, the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists and the Texas Family Law Foundation. The National Trial Lawyers association selected Mr. Turner as a Top 40 Under 40 in both 2014 and 2015, and the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys named him as one of the Top 10 Under 40 for the same years. He holds an AV Preeminent* rating from his peers through Martindale-Hubbell, and he additionally holds a perfect 10 "Superb" rating from his peers through Avvo.
