Attorney Michael A. Simpson of Simpson & Tuegel in Bridgeport, Texas, focuses his practice in the areas of personal injury, product liability, mass torts, and business law. With several decades of litigation experience, he represents a wide variety of clients in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and throughout the U.S.

Mr. Simpson earned his law degree from Baylor Law School. He is a Leon Jaworski Teaching Fellow for the Baylor School of Law’s prestigious Practice Court Program. He is a graduate of the University of North Texas and was elected Student Body President in 1974.  He is board certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and certified as a civil trial specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.

Throughout his career, Mr. Simpson has been involved in many significant cases that have resulted in substantial verdicts and settlements. Because of their magnitude, many of these cases have been featured in national outlets such as the National Law Journal and the Wall Street Journal.

He has also authored articles and given presentations for a variety of publications and seminars including the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. He belongs to the American Board of Trial Advocates and the American Association for Justice.

Mr. Simpson has achieved significant recognition within the legal realm. He is rated AV Preeminent, the highest possible, by the attorney peer review organization Martindale-Hubbell*. He is also a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and was named one of the top 100 trial lawyers by The National Trial Lawyers from 2011 to 2020. 

For years Mr. Simpson served as chairman of the State Bar 14B ethics committee and has been recognized for his years of outstanding service.

Mike is a founding director and vice president of Feeding Wise Kids, a program providing food for low-income children, on weekends.  He and his wife are members of the First United Methodist Church of Bridgeport. Simpson’s three daughters are all attorney’s in Dallas, Texas Mr. Simpson’s daughters are featured with Mr. Simpson in the 2017 Texas Rising Stars, Super Lawyers magazine in an article titled “Welcome to the Town of Trial.”
