A 1993 B.A. graduate of Brown University in political science and psychology, Mr. Martinez attended The University of Texas School of Law and received his Juris Doctor with honors in 1996. During law school, he was elected permanent class president and was also president of the Student Bar Association. Shortly after graduating law school, he clerked for Judge Reynaldo G. Garza of the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, where he gained invaluable experience of how the legal system works.

Mr. Martinez has over 25 years of experience practicing law, starting out his career at the United States Attorney’s Office as an assistant United States attorney. He later started his own practice in 2000, helping individuals with their civil litigation needs, and those who cannot defend themselves. He has been included in The National Trial Lawyers – Top 100 and is a member of Lawyers of Distinction. He is also rated Distinguished* through Martindale-Hubbell for his professionalism in the legal field.

Mr. Martinez is professionally affiliated with various legal organizations, including the American Bar Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Trial Counsel and former Secretary and member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
