As a native of Brownsville, Texas, and having been brought up in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, he is deeply familiar with the unique challenges faced by residents in border areas. In 2015, Mr. Garcia received his B.A. in government, history, international relations and Latin American studies from The University of Texas at Austin and a master's degree (2016) in public administration from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He obtained his J.D. from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2019.

The same year, Mr. Garcia was authorized to practice law in Texas and was admitted to representing clients in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas. After law school, he worked as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Judge Rolando Olvera, aiding in civil and complex criminal cases. His experience in federal court has equipped him to represent his clients vigorously across various judicial proceedings.

In addition to his legal acumen, Mr. Garcia is an active member of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Bar College, the Cameron County Bar Association, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. His legal prowess has earned him a spot on the 2022 National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 list. Furthermore, he is fluent in Spanish.
