Evan W. Horner

A reliable professional with a keen sense of justice, attorney Evan W. Horner is a partner at the Carrollton, Texas, law firm of Le Brocq & Horner Law Firm. He focuses his practice primarily on criminal defense and also assists clients in the Dallas and Fort Worth metro areas with their family law, personal injury and civil litigation cases.

Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mr. Horner moved to Dallas, Texas, and furthered his higher education. He completed his B.A. in history at Texas State University and later graduated summa cum laude with his Master of Legal Studies at the same university. He returned to Oklahoma to pursue his legal education and received his Juris Doctor with honors from The University of Tulsa College of Law in 2018. He obtained his Texas legal license the same year.

During his time at the law school, Mr. Horner functioned as a president of The University of Tulsa College of Law’s mock trial organization. He served as a legal intern for the Honorable Judge Daman Cantrell at the Tulsa County District Court and took part in the National Native American Law Appellate Mock Trial Team. Furthermore, he was inducted into The Order of Barristers, a national honorary organization.

Hailing from a divided family, Mr. Horner understands firsthand the difficulties faced by individuals and families going through legal disputes. He believes that procuring positive results for his clients requires not only knowledge and experience, but also determination, creativity, perseverance, and, above all else, hard work.

Over his career, Mr. Horner has secured several charge dismissals and favorable verdicts for those accused of criminal charges such as DWI, aggravated violence, arson, theft, burglary, sexual offenses, drug crimes, criminal mischief and more. He has also handled several divorce, child custody and support cases in the courts of Dallas, Collin and Denton counties.

Mr. Horner is actively involved in serving the legal community. He is a member of the Family Law Sections of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers and the State Bar of Texas.
