The founder of and the principal attorney at the Casner Law Firm, Adam Casner focuses his practice almost exclusively on Social Security Disability claims and appeals. He works out of the firm’s offices in Cedar Park, Texas, and he provides representation to clients throughout Williamson and Travis counties and other portions of the greater Austin metropolitan area.
As an undergraduate, Mr. Casner attended The University of Texas at Austin, where he majored in Italian and economics and received a Bachelor of Arts in 2005. He then went on to pursue his legal education at the University of Kansas School of Law. While he was there, Mr. Casner was a member of the school’s Public Interest Law Society and participated in mock trial competitions, and he also clerked for a Kansas City-area law firm before obtaining his Juris Doctor in 2010. After graduation, Mr. Casner worked at Texas firms before opening his own practice in January 2020. He is admitted to practice in Texas as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Although Mr. Casner has experience in divorce and other family law matters, his primary client base is made up of people who have become unable to work due to a physical or mental condition and who are applying for the Social Security Disability Insurance benefits that they deserve. The application process is complex, and unfortunately fewer than one out of five applications are approved during the initial stage. Mr. Casner’s extensive experience in this area of the law has allowed many of his clients to be one of that fortunate group, but he also has a superb track record during subsequent appeals hearings.

These comments were made by fellow attorneys during the annual nomination process.
“Adam is one of our new lawyers who is doing great with his hearing case load. He seems motivated to put in the time required to learn a file before taking the case to hearing. His work product (appeal briefs) seem to be above average in our office & he is new at disability law. We're glad he's focused now on helping our clients, he seems to be a great addition.”
