Edward "Eddie" Cawlfield

The founder of The Cawlfield Law Firm, PLLC, Edward Scott Cawlfield focuses his practice primarily on estate planning and administration. Based in Celina, Texas, he represents people throughout Collin and Denton counties, and he has been admitted to practice before all Texas state courts since 2014.

Fluent in Spanish as well as in English, Mr. Cawlfield attended The University of Texas at Austin, and he majored in history and received a Bachelor of Arts in 2001. After he graduated, he started a health care staffing company and ran it for several years before enrolling at Texas A&M University School of Law. While he was there, Mr. Cawlfield participated in national mock trial competitions, served on the Texas A&M Journal of Property Law, and was awarded a Texas A&M Law Fellowship for his public interest legal work before being awarded his Juris Doctor in 2014. He worked at a law firm in McKinney, Texas, before opening his own firm in November 2018.

Mr. Cawlfield assists people with the planning of their estates through his preparation and review of wills, living and irrevocable trusts, advance medical directives, and financial and health care powers of attorney. He also guides clients through the probate process, and he has handled will contests and other types of estate administration litigation as well as adult guardianships. Apart from his estate practice, Mr. Cawlfield has extensive experience in real estate transactions and disputes, and his business law background has encompassed entity formation, regulatory compliance, and general advice and counsel.
