John B. Martinez

Licensed to practice in Texas for more than 24 years, attorney John B. Martinez co-founded the law firm Martinez Reilly Trial Lawyers to represent clients in personal injury matters. Situated in Corpus Christi, Texas, he handles cases involving car accidents, spinal cord injuries, trucking accidents, toxic torts, wrongful death, defective and dangerous products, and premises liability.

Mr. Martinez is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of Texas, the states of New York and New Mexico, and the District of Columbia. He is board­-certified in personal injury law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. With a bachelor's degree in political science from the Texas A&M University, he earned his Juris Doctor from the Baylor University School of Law in 1998. 

Prior to joining the firm and private practice, Mr. Martinez served as a judge in the Nueces County Court at Law 3, Texas, chairing over myriad cases ranging from personal injury to civil disputes for almost five years. In the course of his tenure on the bench, he was renowned for his unfaltering dedication to upholding the law and his ability to scrutinize and decipher complex legal cases. 

Presently in this role, Mr. Martinez brings extensive experience and knowledge to the table and utilizes it to efficaciously advocate for his clients. He is fervently committed to helping his clients receive the resolution and justice they deserve. Acknowledging that his clients face many dire physical, emotional and financial effects due to their personal injury issues, he works tirelessly to make sure they receive the settlement they require to move on with their healing and with their lives.

Mr. Martinez is an active member of the legal community, upholding memberships with the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Texas Bar College, Mensa International Limited, the American Bar Association and the Corpus Christi Young Lawyers Association (president).
