The founding partner of Stewart Law Group located in Dallas, Texas, Amy M. Stewart, focuses her practice exclusively on business litigation and employment litigation. The cases she takes on involve commercial litigation, employment and employer rights, labor arbitrations, product liability, ERISA matters, and bad faith claims. She provides sound counsel to her clients and is the go-to lawyer for her extraordinary legal skills.
Ms. Stewart is a compassionate and empathetic attorney who fights relentlessly for her client's rights. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in speech communication from Wake Forest University, where she was team captain of the women's basketball team. She obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri, where she was an associate editor at the Missouri Law Review.
A board-certified arbitrator, certified by the American Arbitration Association (ABA) and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), she is also a level one civil right investigator by the Association of Title IX Administrators. She is admitted to practice throughout the state of Texas and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Actively affiliated with the legal community, Ms. Stewart is currently the Co-Chair of the ABA's litigation section, Managing Director of the Dallas Bar Association, and the Co-Chair of the Texas Bar Association. She is a council member of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, IADC, and the FDCC. She is on the Board of Directors at The New Roundtable, a renowned group of African-American female attorneys.
Ms. Stewart was a member of the National Black Lawyers Top 100 and a council member of the State Bar of Texas Litigation Council. She is a member of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution Panel of Distinguished Neutrals. She serves as a barrister at the Patrick E. Higginbotham American Inn of Court.
Ms. Stewart loves spending her time giving back to the community and is a member of the executive committee for the Center for Women in Law and among the board of directors for Educational First Steps and Girls Inc. She is an auxiliary board member of The Salvation Army and a participant in the Bridging the Gap Food Program at Fellowship Bible Church.
Ms. Stewart has been moderator and panelist at numerous webinars and has lectured extensively at many renowned seminars. She has also published many of her works in prominent publications and has been featured several times in the media for her outstanding contribution to the legal field.
